DPP to hold press conference on the upcoming October 25th demonstration

Taipei, Taiwan - The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) is holding an international press conference to inform the international community about the purpose and significance of the upcoming October 25th demonstration. With the impending visit to Taiwan by Chen Yunlin, head of China’s Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits (ARATS), it is important for China and the international community to understand the true sentiments of the Taiwanese people regarding China’s ‘Taiwan policy’ and the impact of the contaminated Chinese consumer products that have made their way into the Taiwanese market. The press conference will be held on October 24th at the DPP Headquarters press room, and Chairperson Ing-wen Tsai will brief the press on the rationale behind the demonstration. The press conference will be co-hosted by Director Cheng Wen-tsang of the Department of Culture and Information and Director Lin Chen-wei of the Department of International Affairs.
